Today's entry features me in my best attempt at emulating the scourge of the crusaders, Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb, more commonly called Saladin.
The Turban is ridiculously warm, and I was having trouble keeping the Jambiya(the knife) in. I hope to improve upon this in later years.
This is partial inspired by this photo of Saladin:
And I hope one day to be as able to make something as awesome as this from Kingdom of Heaven. :)

Historical Recreation of Medieval Persia/Caucasus
Here is a costume I have been working on in order to recreate the clothing worn by people from Mongol Persia, the Ilkhanate Empire. I am trying to base it on someone from the region that is now Azerbaijan. To do this I put a Kindjal on the costume. The kindjal is a knife/sword that is part of the national dress of most of the people of the Caucasus region, including, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Chechnya, and the Circassians.
Most of the costume was made by a good friend of mine.
I will be working more on this one :)
